Looking for Inspiration?

Wednesday, October 7, 2020

 Hi Everyone,

How are you all? Are you looking for some future crafting projects? Maybe some Christmas gift ideas? If so, I wanted to share a few more tutorials I've written over on the Hobbycraft Ideas Hub. It's a great source of inspiration for all types of craft, so well worth a visit.

You can see my previous posts of other projects HERE and HERE

Here are just a few recent tutorials:

First is a great project for those handmade gifts at Christmas. A knotted headband is a great gift for all the girls in your life. Using fat quarters, so each one can be totally different. The headband tutorial can be found HERE

Hobbycrafting

Wednesday, January 22, 2020
Hi Everyone,

So, last year I started working with one of my favourite brands in the whole world - Hobbycraft. It was an absolute dream come true to write projects for their blog, so I thought it would be so fun to show you and share links to all my 2019 projects. Plus it means you can bookmark them for future crafting plans.

So first up, my first ever blog post was this Animal cushion:

You can see all supplies lists and instructions here: https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/ideas/sewing/how-to-sew-a-simple-animal-cushion It's a fun pattern that uses minimal amounts of fabric and would be fabulous for a new baby gift or update to a nursery.

Next up was my cross-back apron. This has been very popular and includes printable templates too. I loved making this and the style is so easy to wear. Find all links and instructions here: https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/ideas/sewing/how-to-sew-a-cross-back-apron

Hobbycraft Christmas Press Show 2019

Sunday, July 21, 2019
Hi Everyone!

So I thought you'd enjoy seeing what I got up to at the Hobbycraft Christmas Press Show a couple weeks ago. So I've put together a few of my fave photos to share. I'm also doing a 'Goodie Bag Haul' over on my YouTube channel, which you can watch HERE.

The purpose of the press show was to show off all the new, exciting products that will be launched soon for Christmas. Plus inspiration of how to use Hobbycraft products and project hacks. It was so much fun and loved seeing so many different ideas.

Sewing for Fun!

Monday, March 18, 2019

Hi Everyone!

A few little updates from the studio again, and more fabric to show off. You may remember a couple of months ago, the lovely team at Gutermann sent us some fabric to use. Well they must have loved our bunting, as they gifted us some more!

We're always looking for fun, new things to make and show in the shop. We want inspiration and colour all around. And as Mum and I have been dipping our toes into patchwork, mum found a cool design in a Quilting magazine and started working on this stunning pennant!

They sent us the pink fat quarter bundle and all the patterns are just stunning. I think the patchwork shows off the fabric beautifully and in true Jessalli style, we added a pop of orange to the mix.

Festive Workshops @ Thirsty Bird

Friday, December 21, 2018

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're all getting excited for the big day. Cannot believe it's only a few sleeps away. I have to say I'm not feeling 100% Christmassy yet. But that might be because I'm still not organised!! I have so much wrapping to do, and I still haven't finished my Christmas cards. WHOOPS!

Anyway I wanted to share some cosy festive photos from my Christmas Craft Workshops at The Thirsty Bird in Wimborne. The first workshop I did was an evening of felt bauble making. Everyone made a little brussel sprout and a Christmas pudding, and my gosh they all did amazing. I had so much fun and I think everyone loved it too.

DIY - Card Gift Tags

Tuesday, January 3, 2017

Don't throw your Christmas Cards into the recycle bin immediately, use them to make all your Christmas Tags for next year! I've done this for 3 years now. Not only are they a great way of recycling, but they create totally unique tags for your wrapped presents next year.

Giant Knitted Blanket

Monday, November 14, 2016

Well this post is very different. Mainly because I never write about knitting, or lets face it anything other than sewing!
My partner and I wanted a really snuggly blanket for the house, in the camper and on the sofa. Especially during this time of year. We've always loved giant knitted blankets, but to get one for a decent size you're looking at £300 plus! So we bought 6 kilos of giant merino roving and made one ourselves!

Paper Party Hats

Friday, August 12, 2016

Well it's my sister's dog's birthday next week.... and I am currently looking after him whilst they're on holiday. You might not know this but I LOVE a party. I love planning them and making decorations, so I thought as I'm alone with Fred, we'd have our own party to celebrate his 4th birthday! (Stay with me on this!)
It's just a bit of fun, but it does mean I get to make party decs and all the trimmings- which means DIY- which means new posts for you!

So up first on the making list is PARTY HATS! (Human and dog size! :P)

So cute and so simple! Love these so much- perfect for little presents too!

Lolly Pop Stick Rabbit Decoration from Make & Do Crew

Cute for Easter and to decorate a nursery. Looks like I'm going to be eating a lot of lollies! Although we could just cheat and buy a pack of sticks on Amazon!

Adorable Egg Shell Vases from We are Scout

Love how tiny, dainty and spring like these are. Just adorable for an Easter Lunch or for decorating the mantlepiece.

Easter Huggers from Lia Griffith

A fun alternative for the kids! Get those craft knives out and give it a go!

Pom Pom Bunny from FAB DIY

I'm squealing with cuteness! I need to make this adorable bunny asap!
