Nora Number 7...

Saturday, November 9, 2019
Hi Everyone,

No YOU have a Nora problem. I think I might even say I have the 'Nora Virus' from now on haha. Although maybe people won't realise the word play and just avoid the studio! So I'm sharing a few photos from my November post for the Minerva Blogger Network

Seren Stripes

Monday, July 22, 2019
Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all well and enjoying the sunshine. I've been obsessed with my garden at the moment and love it so much I left the tap on in the flower beds all night the other night!!! WHOOPS!

Anyway I thought on Sunday it would be nice to take some friends to a Botanical Garden near us. It's called the Botanical Mill and they make their own perfume as well as supply big perfumeries in Paris. As well as scents and a gorgeous cafe, they also have huge garden you can walk around. So it was only fitting that I wore my freshly made Seren Dress for the occasion.

Hobbycraft Christmas Press Show 2019

Sunday, July 21, 2019
Hi Everyone!

So I thought you'd enjoy seeing what I got up to at the Hobbycraft Christmas Press Show a couple weeks ago. So I've put together a few of my fave photos to share. I'm also doing a 'Goodie Bag Haul' over on my YouTube channel, which you can watch HERE.

The purpose of the press show was to show off all the new, exciting products that will be launched soon for Christmas. Plus inspiration of how to use Hobbycraft products and project hacks. It was so much fun and loved seeing so many different ideas.

Nora, Nora, Nora

Friday, June 14, 2019

 Hi Everyone,

I'm back on the Minerva Crafts Blogger Network to bring you another make. I've gone back to making more easy-to-wear staples. I was always reaching for an old grey jumper that didn't fit quite right, but I loved wearing it. So I thought; Why not make one? Exactly how I want, so I did.

I'm in Mollie Makes!

Thursday, June 13, 2019
Hi Everyone,

Yes the title is correct! My dream has come true, I have written a project for Mollie Makes. I've been reading the magazine since Issue 1. I have all the copies still; they're all around my house, craft room and the sewing school.

In Issue 107 (out now at time of posting) is my feature. I made this 90's inspired self-drafted dress. I give you the formula to make it right for you. And I'm so happy with how it turned out. I made it in a flowy, viscose crepe and love the look and feel of it. I'm a little chuffed.

I hope you like what I made and if you haven't got a copy of Issue 107, make sure you get one before it's too late. I can definitely recommend the magazine!

Happy Handmade!

Happy Sewists!

Wednesday, May 8, 2019
Hi Everyone,

So I thought I'd share a few photos from recent workshops and sew sessions. Mainly for those of you who don't get to come to the studio but would love to see what we get up to.

Easter Needle Felting Workshop

Sometimes I have to pinch myself that this is my job. I have so much fun teaching so many lovely people, and now we have some wonderful 'regulars' I feel like I have tons of sewing friends. The best idea I had for the school was our Sew Sessions. Quality sewing time with help when you need it. People can bring their projects, their unfinished items (UFOs haha) and get some proper sewing time in. Plus I'm hanging around to help with tricky pattern instructions and when you get stuck. I now have a facebook group for our Sew Session attendees to chat all things sewing and share their latest makes. You can join it HERE

Sewing for Fun!

Monday, March 18, 2019

Hi Everyone!

A few little updates from the studio again, and more fabric to show off. You may remember a couple of months ago, the lovely team at Gutermann sent us some fabric to use. Well they must have loved our bunting, as they gifted us some more!

We're always looking for fun, new things to make and show in the shop. We want inspiration and colour all around. And as Mum and I have been dipping our toes into patchwork, mum found a cool design in a Quilting magazine and started working on this stunning pennant!

They sent us the pink fat quarter bundle and all the patterns are just stunning. I think the patchwork shows off the fabric beautifully and in true Jessalli style, we added a pop of orange to the mix.

Denim Ness Skirt

Saturday, March 9, 2019
Hi Everyone,

So I'm back on the Minerva Crafts Blogger Network this month and I'm so happy with what I made. I've been wanting to make the Tilly and the Buttons Ness Skirt for so long, but with working so many hours, the pattern has just been moved around the studio for weeks. And this time I had an excuse to sit down and have some 'selfish sewing time'.

I love this pattern so much, and after making those jeans last month, this was pretty easy. You can read everything about the making process in my MCBN post HERE.

Dawn Jeans - Bringing back the Flares!

Friday, February 8, 2019

Hi Everyone,

Yes it's Minerva Crafts Blogger Network time! And I'm here to rave about my latest make - The Megan Nielsen Dawn Jeans.

I'm totally amazed that I actually made these, it's something I've been wanting to do since I started dressmaking, but always thought I wasn't good enough. I made the Wide Leg version and the fit of these is just incredible, I was so shocked that they actually fitted me properly. I'm definitely making another pair!

Updates from the Studio

Wednesday, January 23, 2019

Hello everyone!

I hope you're all well and not too cold (if you live in the UK that is). I'm not a huge fan of winter, I'm a 'cold in summer' kind of person so I'm struggling a little bit at the moment. Layers are my best friend right now. Although the Sewing School is warm as we had a fancy heating system installed the first week of the month.

Anyway, I wanted to show you something that we're loving. The amazing Gutermann (my fave thread brand in the world!) gifted us one of their fat quarter bundles in their Marrakesh Patterned fabrics. We instantly wanted to use every single one, and Mum and I came up with the idea to make bunting. We decorated the whole upstairs wall!
