Hobbycrafting

Wednesday, January 22, 2020
Hi Everyone,

So, last year I started working with one of my favourite brands in the whole world - Hobbycraft. It was an absolute dream come true to write projects for their blog, so I thought it would be so fun to show you and share links to all my 2019 projects. Plus it means you can bookmark them for future crafting plans.

So first up, my first ever blog post was this Animal cushion:

You can see all supplies lists and instructions here: https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/ideas/sewing/how-to-sew-a-simple-animal-cushion It's a fun pattern that uses minimal amounts of fabric and would be fabulous for a new baby gift or update to a nursery.

Next up was my cross-back apron. This has been very popular and includes printable templates too. I loved making this and the style is so easy to wear. Find all links and instructions here: https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/ideas/sewing/how-to-sew-a-cross-back-apron

NCH Winter Party

Monday, January 6, 2020
Hi Everyone,

I realised I never shared photos from the New Craft House Winter Party. I had so much fun there and I got to make a fabulous glittery outfit for the occasion. I made the McCalls Jumpsuit M7910 pattern. The pattern is for stretch fabrics and as I used our Rose Gold mini sequin fabric, I had to add an invisible zipper in the side to get in and out as the sequins didn't stretch enough. I lined it with Viscose Jersey from Minerva Crafts which was super soft and lovely to wear.

It was lovely to meet new sewing friends and catch up with a few of my favourites. The atmosphere was so good and it's so nice to chat all things sewing, dressmaking and fabric with like minded people. Plus everyones outfits were stunning and the room was filled with things I want to make.

NYE Outfit!

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year! I hope you're all well and had a lovely festive break. I wanted to share with you my New Years Eve outfit. Well, just the trousers actually.

I bought this sequin fabric from the New Craft House after I went to their Studio 54 party! It was the fabric they had on the walls and they sold it at such a good price, I knew I had to have it. It's two tone, so one way they brush silver, the other way they're turquoise. I made the Holly Trouser pattern from By Hand London, I'm so happy with them!
