My Cleo
Sunday, January 22, 2017Hi Everyone!
I've finally made my Cleo Pinafore! So happy with it. I wanted a navy corduroy version for winter. And mum found this needlecord from the fabric warehouse she works at (Hansons in Sturminster Newton) - it was perfect.
I thought contrasting top stitching would make it even better. I wanted something bright and cheerful. I had a deep yellow cotton in my stash, so I used that. It happened to be the perfect tone of yellow against the navy.
Considering most of this was done in these dark, dull evenings - I think I did ok. I love the fit of this. And I love how for winter I can still wear a jumper or something cosy under it too. I definitely think a pink denim version is on the cards now for summer. Although my second Cleo will be for my friend, as she saw this one just after I'd finished it and already pleaded for me to make her one.
I hope you're all inspired to make your own Cleo. Shop the pattern HERE. I know I rave about Tilly's patterns all the time, (well come on, she is the nicest person ever!) but if you want to make your own clothes they're just the best! And this pattern is no different, so quick, so clear and easy to follow - and look how great it looks!
Happy Handmade!
