I'm trying my hardest to get into dress making and clothing modifications. It's something I've always loved, but never get the time to do. So I've told myself that if I have a spare hour or two I have to do something... no matter how small.
So today I took an hour out of cleaning and packing (we're moving house soon) to modify an old dress I had. It was an old linen t-shirt dress from Zara, and it was such a baggy fit, I never really wore it. So I thought it would be fun to chop it up and make it into a cropped top. I just hacked off the bottom and hemmed it.
I kept a straight hem at the front, then slowly lowered it at the sides and created a curved hem at the back.
I'm happy with how it turned out so I'll definitely be wearing it this summer. :)
