My Marigold

Yey! I've made another item of clothing! And from my favourite friends Tilly and the Buttons! This time it was their gorgeous jumpsuit pattern- Marigold.

As soon as I saw I could use rayon, I knew what fabric I wanted. I'm a huge fan of Anna Bond and her stationary company Rifle Paper Co, who recently collaborated with the amazing Cotton & Steel to create her painted prints on fabrics! I fell in love with this Periwinkle Les Fleurs print and had to get it!

I really enjoyed making it, even if Rayon is slippery to work with! I only made two mistakes, one was making the straps a little too long (even though Tilly says in the instructions not to change them) and the other mistake involved my overlocker- and we won't talk about that! All I'll say is I nearly cried!

I kept the trousers quite long as I wanted them to be casual and comfy. I also thought this would look great with heels, as well as pumps. If you come to the Handmade Fair this weekend you might see me in it!

I really hope you like it, and if you want to make your own, you can buy your Marigold pattern HERE.

Happy Handmade!
