Pomegranate Blouse

Wednesday, October 18, 2017

Hi Everyone,

Well today I'm sharing something really girly. It's a blouse I pattern tested for and I love it! Let me introduce to you the Pomegranate Blouse by new indie pattern designer Octavia

Its a simple bias cut cowl neck blouse. No darts, no fuss, no nonsense. It's so easy to put together and the result is super feminine. An easy item to wear for any occasion.

You can get your PDF pattern through Jodie's website HERE. I urge you to find a floaty fabric and have a go. Even if you're a beginner, this is a great pattern to practice bias cutting and construction.

The fabric I chose was this Moonstone Pink Viscose by Atelier Brunette, bought from Crafty Mastermind. Even though the fabric has a directional print, it's abstract enough to look great cut on the bias. I really like the brushstroke pattern on it and have worn this blouse a lot since I made it.

I think you should all go and support Jodie and her new pattern designing ventures. It's great to hear more independent patterns are coming out! More clothes for us!

Happy Handmade!
